 Adams Archery Minimize

As I was doing my researcher on Adams Archery I remembered the first time I was introduced to Adams Archery it must have been in and around 1985 or so. I had just built a house in Washtenaw County not too far from Adams Archery, so it was close enough to go and shoot on a regular basis. And to buy accessories for my bows, as well for my bowhunting fixes, you know the ones, that you have to try every little gadget that comes out to make you a better shooter.

A couple of week ago I was at one of the weekend shoots and I was talking to a guy about Adams Archery and he brought to my mind about the targets with the inserts in the middle of the back that you looked down into the target and see where your arrow was and that was how you scored your shot, I told him that I remembered that and actually I had forgot about those targets.  It was great time reminiscing about those targets.  Those targets were called Golden Arrow Targets and Adams had the number 3 franchise, they were later replaced by McKenzie targets.

Adams Archery has quite an expanded facility located on about 10 acres of land in the northern part of Milan Michigan. They have carved out for themselves quite a unique business. They carry several Bow manufactures such as Hoyt, Mathews, Mission, Diamond, Martin, Parker, and Ten Point Crossbows. Some of the arrows they carry are, Gold Tip, Vapor, Carbon Express, and Easton, all of the big names that you could ask for. I think that they will sell a used bow on consignment if you wish to. They also have a great assortment of archery equipment such as sights, arrow rests, Quivers both hunting and practicing quivers, along with releases finger tabs silencers for your strings field tip for practice Shooting and also broadheads for hunting of all kinds they all the major brands of hunting broadheads both Mechanical and non-mechanical, they also have bow cases both hard cases and soft cases, as well as bow slings, and stabilizers, both hunting and Target. They have it all.

They have one of the finest pro shops I have ever seen with several different bow presses and bow clamps that they use to work on customers’ bows.  They also have a chronograph machine as well as a paper testing station.   Adams does custom arrow fletching as well where they can fetch up to a couple dozen arrows at one time.

Along with the great Pro shop that they have they have recently just added on a indoor range that they use year round they have both a spot and a 3-D indoor range. Dick and Diana, father and daughter, are very concerned with the future of the sport of archery so they sponsored the Junior Olympic Archery Development program (J.O.A.D.) that runs from January thru June. This also fit in with Dick’s and Diana’s desire to keep this business Family friendly from the beginning.

Oh, by the way, they are celebrating 30 years of being in business and want everybody to come out and enjoy the Day with them from 10:00 to 4:00 Fun shooting, door prizes, food, and raffles Free for the whole family.
