Black Diamond Archery

Black Diamond Archery is located in Canton Illinois on some sixty eight acres of leased land. The club is over forty years old and I had the opportunity to meet a couple of the founding members, Gary Orwig, and Alvin "Catfish" Bartlett. Some of the other members informed me that nobody knew Catfish's real name except is was briefly mentioned years ago at his wedding.

Whitetail Archery

The weatherman was predicting a rainy day, but so far it was just overcast. I decided to chance it. I was in mid Illinois just a short drive from Leroy, the home of Whitetail Archery. It was a bit out in the country, and for a while I was sure I had missed one of the signs, but I just doggedly continued on until I found the club.
